Fall Season 2016 Final Rankings AND results for December 4th

I always have mixed feelings on posting final rankings for a season end.  On one hand, it is a way to recognize those that consistently come to play.  On the other hand, there are some really GOOD players that because of their personal schedules cannot regularly make it.  With that being said, below are the results for November 27th and the final rankings for the Fall 2016 Tugby Season.

Below are the results for last Sunday's games and for the season to date.  I've been thinking of a way for us to celebrate the Christmas season, and wanted to know what you would think about all of us decorating our Tugboats in a Christmas theme and having a boat parade?  Would this be too much additional stress during the Holiday Season?  What do you think?

Second Life seems to be conspiring against us a bit, with people experiencing lag in the Tugby Pitch.  I really don't know what more I can do about it.  

Also please remember that I have a real life commitment next Sunday, so someone else will need to run Tugby.

We had some really good games last Sunday. The fourth game was particularly competitive with the green team fighting back from 2 - 0 to win! The game lasted for almost 30 minutes!

We had a great time last Sunday!  There was a total of FIVE ties!  The reason that I like these so much is that it seems to me to reflect that the randomly assigned teams are pretty equal in skill.  We played a total of three games.  We welcome a new player - AJ!  We hope you come back next Sunday.

We had a new player join us last week.  Misty Snowglimmer is a cute little fairy avatar that is learning quickly how to play.  Welcome Misty... come back and play with us!!  We played four games and the Linden Gods treated us fairly well.  The results for the day and for the season to date are below.  Hope to see all of you next Sunday.

Tugby Results Updated for June 12th!! Sort of....

Last Sunday, the grid was being particularly cruel to us, so we decided to play a little bit differently and the results are not being reported.  We had five players (including your's truly) to play.  We selected had two players for Green and two players for Red.  That left ME to play for BLACK.  I would start out playing for one side, but once a side scored a point, I swapped allegiance to the other team.  You all KNOW how much I love tie games.  If the score was tied, I played for which ever team had the puck in their backfield.  It actually turned out to be rather fun, and since the results don't matter, folks didn't mind the lag and SL performance.  If the Grid Gods are good to us, tomorrow will be better!  Come and play with us!

I've finally gotten the Tugby Results updated for the weeks that I was gone.  The Spring season has ended and the Summer season starts today!  I was glad to see Bolt Bashly return!  See you all today!

Tugby Results Updated for May 8th, 2016

We had some very competitive games last Sunday and SL seemed to be fairly well behaved. I will be gone the next two Sundays and will rely on experienced players to run the games.  Play nicely, no rough-housing!! I will be back on the 29th, but might need to help with the SLIFF races.  I have asked MarkTwain White to reset the region before Tugby on Sundays.  Have fun while I am gone!

Last Sunday saw the return of an old friend, Stuart Choche.  Stu has been away from SL for the past year, but is famous in Tugby circles not only for his playing ability but also for his outstanding work on the Logo for the Tugby group!  It was great to see you Stuart and we hope to see more of you.  

Please remember that I will be out of the country from May 12th through the 28th.  I'll be back in SL on the 29th, but have been asked to help with sailboat races at 8 am SLT that morning.  I sent a notice to the group asking for volunteers to run the Tugby games on May 15th, 22nd, and 29th.  Please let me know if you are willing to help with that and I will make sure you have the proper permissions.

Tugby Results Updated for April 17th,2016 - Spring Season

Another sunny Sunday of Tugby in Santa Cruz.  The first game lasted 26 minutes and had two ties!!  The perfect game.  Finally the Green team pulled it out.  The second game only had one tie, and the third and fourth none.  Oh well... it was still fun.
